Zee-Sea

De zee is inspirerend. Een foto van een zee is vaak cliché en dat heeft te maken met andere beelden die zich in je hoofd genesteld hebben. Ik dacht, laat ik nu eens een paar stappen achteruitgaan, zodat niet alleen de zee, maar ook een stukje landschap én het afdak met bankje zichtbaar wordt. De foto krijgt een andere betekenis zo. Ze gaat nu ook over controle over de blik en controle over het landschap. Van hieruit moet je kijken, hier is het goed om te zitten.

The sea is inspiring. Photos of the sea are often clichéd, which has to do with other images that have embedded themselves in your mind. I thought, why don’t I take a few steps backwards so that not only the sea, but also part of the landscape and the roof with the bench under it are visible. This gives the photograph a different meaning. Now it is about controlling the view and controlling the landscape. This is the place where you are supposed to look at the sea; this is a good place to sit.

Heel mooie kadrage met sterke voorgrond. Roept bij mij een zen-gevoel op. Dit beeld straalt absolute rust uit. De witte wolken lijken wel reflecties van de bergketens in de lucht. Knap gedaan.
