Fotomuseum – Photomuseum

 

Een foto kan zorgen voor een prettige verwarring tussen afbeelding en beeld. Een beeld wil ik maken, maar waarvan? Wat ga ik fotograferen en wat tentoonstellen? Deze vragen zetten me aan tot het fotograferen van kaders, ramen, spiegels, lege ruimtes en toonkasten, voorstellingen, schijnvertoningen en toonplekken, zoals musea. Fotograferen in een fotomuseum. Deze foto is er zo één waar je op het eerste zicht kop noch staart aan krijgt…

A photograph can cause a pleasant confusion between picture and image… I want to make an image, but of what? What shall I shoot and what shall I exhibit? These questions were my motive to photograph frames, windows and mirrors, empty spaces and showcases, photographs of pictures, shows, simulations and exhibition halls, like musea.
